Accommodation

Guests of Footscapes stay in one of three modern studio villas. Each is primarily designed for 2 people, although a third can be accommodated using a foldaway bed. There is ample room for 2/3 adults (40 square metres per villa), and the spacious feel is enhanced by the open plan design. Two of the villas are twin - bedded, the other having a double bed. Each has a comfortable living area, a shower room and a fully equipped kitchen with oven/hob and fridge. Please note that there is a no smoking policy in all villas.

Accommodation is air - conditioned for summer, but also has a cosy open fire for autumn and winter, as well as full central heating. On arrival, you will find a complimentary basket of essential provisions. We provide all linen and towels (inc. beach towels), with a full change mid-way through each week. There are private patios for each property, affording marvellous views to the White Mountains in the west, the Sea of Crete to the North and Mount Psiloritis to the east. The sunsets over the White Mountains are incredible. If you tire of the stunning views, there is a CD/tape/radio in each villa, along with a selection of books and games. Outside is a petanque/boules court - best played over a couple of beers or a glass or two of your favourite chilled white wine! Next to the boules court is a barbecue area - you can eat outdoors whilst watching the sun go down behind the White Mountains.

Important! We built our studios after staying in various Cretan residences over several years, and they were designed to iron out all of the niggles that we ourselves found on holiday. In particular - the showers are powerful and not just a dribble; there is ample hot water, with or without sunshine; the kitchen is fully equipped with a proper cooker and all utensils necessary to cook an evening meal and not simply heat a tin of soup; the air conditioning and heating systems work effectively.

Our villas have been licensed by EOT, the Greek Tourist Authority (Lic. No. MHTE 1041K123K0319500, protocol 2527/2011) and comply with all necessary regulations including fire certification.

For larger groups - The 3 Footscapes studio villas can each accommodate 2 or 3 persons. If this is not sufficient for your group, please contact us anyway as we may be able to arrange additional accommodation locally. (There are 2 villas quite close to us which each sleep groups of between 6 and 8. We can contact the owners and possibly arrange to accommodate large groups through a combination of Footscapes studio villas and one or both of these other rental villas).
